Our Mission
Our mission is to empower women to transform their lives through the purification of their hearts, drawing inspiration from the divine wisdom of Psalm 51: "Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me." We are committed to providing a transformative experience that fosters deep connections with God and each other, promoting an environment of spiritual renewal, heartfelt fellowship, and unity.
The Vision
Central to our purpose is the creation of a safe, non-judgmental space where women can share their experiences, insights, and hearts without fear. We are committed to cultivating an atmosphere of openness, vulnerability, and spiritual reflection—where every woman can explore the depths of her journey with God.
Through this sacred gathering, the Matters of the Heart Retreat envisions women embracing lives anchored in purity, faith, and purpose—strengthened by a Christ-centered sisterhood that uplifts, encourages, and walks alongside them as they grow in intimacy with God.

Welcome to our fourth annual House of Refuge Church of God in Christ, Matters of the Heart Women's
Retreat. We remain grateful for the spiritual rejuvenation many experienced last year, and we pray that the
Lord continues to guide us on this transformative journey. This year, our theme is “THE WHOLE WOMAN: MADE WHOLE TO STAY WHOLE (Luke8:43-48).
This year’s retreat is designed to deepen our intimacy with God, embracing women at every stage of their
spiritual journey. Through practical workshops, heartfelt fellowship, moments of reflection, and a powerful
evening service, we aim to bridge the gap between longing for intimacy with God and experiencing the joy and
fulfillment it brings.
Leading up to this event, we will continue to immerse it in prayer. Seeking God with complete submission and for direction. We sincerely appreciate you for considering to join us this year.
